Blue’s story is truly one of hope and transformation. When Blue first came to us, he was in dire condition, starving, just skin and bones, his body riddled with infection and crawling with ticks and fleas. He suffered from such a sevre case of mange that he had lost most all his fur, and to make matters even worse, he tested positive for heartworm.

Despite these overwhelming challenges, we knew Blue deserved a fighting chance. With the dedication of our team, generous donors, and the loving embrace of a foster family, Blue began his long road to recovery. Over several months, he received multiple rounds of medical treatment, gentle baths, nourishing meals, and above all, the warmth of human kindness.

Blue’s foster family supported him every step of the way, and after regaining his strength and some of his beautiful fur, he was matched with his forever family, one eager to continue his journey of healing. Today, Blue is thriving: his coat is growing back, he has filled out to a healthy weight, and he now bounds about with the joyful spirit of a playful puppy.
