Animals Are Our Mission Here at Arf-Anage Dog Rescue, our motto is "No Mom Left Behind". We specialize in moms and pups from local shelters as well as the Navajo reservation.

Your gift goes straight to saving pets’ lives: it funds veterinary care (exams, vaccines, spay/neuter, microchips, medications), quality food and supplies, safe transport, and the behavior support many animals need to heal and trust again. It also helps cover foster and adoption costs so each dog or cat can be placed in a loving, permanent home. Just as important, it supports the trained hands and hearts doing this work every day. If a specific pet’s needs are fully met, any remaining funds stay in the program to help the next animal who arrives.

Homie
Homie is an 8-year-old Pitbull mix tripod who’s been with our rescue for five years.

When he first arrived, he was emaciated and in desperate need of care. With time, love, and medical support, Homie is now thriving—healthy, strong, and managing his Valley Fever with ease.

Even with just three legs, nothing slows him down. He loves to play, especially tug-of- war—and trust us, he rarely loses!

Homie has shown incredible strength and heart, and now he’s waiting for a forever family to love him as much as he deserves.

Arf-Anage

When fosters are available, we also help with puppies that are owner-surrendered, "accidental" litters, or the last of a litter that someone just "couldn't get rid of".

Once our Mama dogs are done raising their pups, they are given time to recover then spayed, rehabbed, and made ready for forever families.

Puppies are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We orient them into a foster-home environment and begin potty training and socialization. We find them great forever homes and in case it doesn't work out, we take the dogs back and find them another loving home. We offer 80% refunds on adoption fees up to 5 days after the adoption.

In some situations, we also offer assistance to help find free or reasonable spay and neuter services for owned pets.
